Frequently Asked Questions

Are my details secure?

Absolutely! We take data privacy and protection very seriously. We securely delete any ID that you upload to verify your eligibility as soon as your account is approved and utilise the latest encryption technologies to protect your personal information.

Is this an ongoing subscription?

No. Blue Light Card costs a one-off payment of $9.95 for a two-year membership. Every two years you’ll be eligible for renewal and you’ll need to provide your ID for another eligibility check (in case you changed jobs or left the industry and so we can keep this exclusive to first responders and essential workers) and then be asked to make another $9.95 payment for another two years of membership.

Why do I need to upload my ID?

We need to verify that you're eligible for Blue Light Card as we're a closed member group that specifically support first responders, emergency services workers and volunters as well as essential workers.

We need to ensure that you do in fact work for an eligible industry or organisation and this is only possible by verifying identification.

We do securely delete all ID and address details from our servers as soon as your account is approved and your card is sent out in the mail.

Is this a scam?

Absolutely not! Blue Light Card was created back in the UK in 2008 by two childhood friends, Tom and Steve (then a serving police office). They wanted to find a way to say thank you to the frontline workers and emergency sector volunteers who are here for us when we need them most.

In 2022, Blue Light Card expanded to Australia and we're here to provide exclusive discounts and savings to deserving Australian first responders.

Today, we've built a community of over 5 million members worldwide and we're continuing to grow and deliver more brands and offers for our members.

Can I see the discounts available before I sign up?

We don’t publicly display our discounts because we’ve committed to keeping our offers exclusively for our member community to access. The good news is you can check out some of our biggest partners here.
