Cookies Policy
The Blue Light Card website uses cookies. By using the Blue Light Card website you are agreeing to this policy and you consent to our use of cookies in accordance with the terms of this policy.
Cookies are small text files that can be used by websites to make a user's experience more efficient. We use two main categories of cookies: (1) 'Necessary' cookies; and (2) optional cookies (which are our 'Preferences', 'Statistics' and 'Marketing' cookies).
These cookies may be first party (set by the website that you are visiting) or third party (set by a domain other than the one that you are visiting) - please note that we do not control the information that may be collected by third parties in relation to any third party cookies.
Cookies can also be session cookies (which last for the duration of a session on the website) or persistent cookies (which continue once that session has ended). You can find more information about the cookies we use, how they are categorised, and how long they are stored for in the 'Details' section of this cookie banner.
If you would like to find information about how third party cookies are used, you can find this by clicking the "Learn more about this provider" link in the 'Details' section of this cookie banner (where such third party cookies are identified).
'Necessary' cookies are required to enable you to use essential features of the website - we can store these cookies without your express consent, as they are strictly necessary for the operation of this site. For any optional cookies, we need your permission before these can be used, which can be given using the ‘Consent’ section of this cookie banner.
You can at any time change or withdraw your consent in relation to any optional cookies from the "Consent" section of this cookie banner. To reopen this cookie banner once it has been closed, please click the icon in the bottom left of our website and click the "Change your consent" option. You can also block cookies by activating the setting on your browser that allows you to refuse the setting of all or some cookies. However, if you use your browser settings to block all cookies (including ‘Necessary’ cookies) you may not be able to access all or parts of our website and you will not receive a personalised service.
Blue Light Card is paid by some of the retailers featured on our service when you make a purchase. When you click through to a retailer from our service, your browser may redirect you via an affiliate network which drops a cookie on your computer. The cookie stores tracking information so that when you visit a retailer via our service, any purchases made will result in the retailer knowing that this purchase has been referred by Blue Light Card. The retailer will then send us information about your purchase. No personal data such as your name or email address is involved in this process. Whilst we do not drop the affiliate network cookie, we just wanted to tell you about it before you use our service to make a transaction.
Where the site you are using is co-branded with our logo but operated by a third party, the third party’s cookies will be dropped rather than ours, and the third party’s cookie policy will apply. In such instances, you should refer to the cookie policy of the third party contained within the relevant site.
You can learn more about how you can contact us and how we process personal data in our Privacy Notice. When you contact us regarding cookies, please state your consent ID and consent date (which can be found by closing the cookie banner, clicking the icon in the bottom left of our website, and selecting the "show details" option)
If you have any questions about our cookies, please contact us on DPO@bluelightcard.co.uk.
