Eligibility checkTo prove eligibility, you'll need to upload a form of ID that evidences your involvement with your employer. See below for accepted types of ID.

Membership cardA two-year membership costs just $9.95 or you can use a promo code if you have one. You'll receive a membership card and access to the Blue Light Card app to access discounts.

Accepted types of ID for police officers and border force officers

 

Border force and immigration officers

If you work for the Australian Border Force, we accept these forms of identification which must show your full name and affiliation to your employer: 

  • Screenshot of your work email (e.g. outlook email). Please ensure that the screenshot clearly displays your individual email address and entire email signature.
  • ASIC Card
  • Work ID Card
 

Current police officers

If you work for police services, we accept these forms of identification which must show your full name and affiliation to your employer: 

  • Screenshot of your work email (e.g. outlook email).Please ensure that the screenshot clearly displays your individual email address and entire email signature.
  • Payslip
 

Retired police officers

If you're a retired employee, you're also eligible to join Blue Light Card and access exclusive discounts. As a retired police officer or law enforcement personnel, you can provide the following forms of ID: 

  • Veteran card
  • Retired Police Officer ID
  • ESSSuper Emergency Services Statement
 

We take your privacy very seriously. You can cover up information on your payslip you'd prefer not to share with us. Please note that we delete all IDs you upload as part of the sign-up process as soon as they've been reviewed.

FAQs

We welcome all employees of the Border Force and Immigration and all current and retired employees of Police Services across Australia irrespective of your specific role.

We charge $9.95 once-off for a 2-year membership card fee, unless you have a promo code to waive or discount payment.
The type of identification you’ll need to provide depends on where you work, but your ID must show your name and affiliation to your employer or professional qualification. We safely destroy this information as soon as you’ve been approved as a member.
We don’t publicly display our discounts because we’ve committed to keep our offers exclusively for our member community to access. The good news is you can check out some of our biggest partners here.
